St. George Food Pantry: Did You Know?

 

* Since St. George Food Pantry officially began in 2004, it has fed over 48,860 Persons, including over 24,500 Children, as well as many among the Elderly and Handicapped?

 

* In 2011 alone, St. George Food Pantry served over 8,360 people, among those over 4,100 Children as well as many Elderly and Handicapped?

 

* Since St. George Food Pantry began in 2004, over 4,150 Volunteer Hours have been donated to the program?

 

* In 2011, more than 700 Volunteer Hours were donated, including those shared by Program Participants and St. George Parishioners?

 

* The total cost of running St. George Food Pantry in 2010 was $16,466.

 

* Total funds generated by St. George Food Pantry in 2010 was $17,089.

 

* Of these funds, St. George Parishioners contributed only $220.00, plus special Thanksgiving turkey donations of an additional $150.00.

 

* St. George Food Pantry actually pays the local Parish $600.00 a year for use of its facility?

 

* That in 2010, no St. George Church, DOS, OCA or other Orthodox Parish support was received to help finance St. George Food Pantry?

 

* That St. George Food Pantry has never received government funding.

 

* That the cost per participant served by St. George Food Pantry in 2010 was only $1.97 per person.
